Relief for Dry Eyes. Renewal for Your Skin. No Lasers Required.

Tixel® uses gentle, controlled heat instead of light or laser energy to treat evaporative dry eye and resurface skin — safely, on every skin tone, in as little as two minutes.

Tixel

How It Works

Most resurfacing devices rely on lasers or intense pulsed light. Tixel doesn't. It uses Thermo-Mechanical Action, or TMA — a medical-grade titanium tip that briefly touches the skin and transfers heat directly through conduction.

Those brief, precisely controlled pulses create a grid of microscopic channels in the surface of the skin. Your body responds the way it responds to any small injury: it goes to work repairing itself. That repair process ramps up your natural production of collagen and elastin, the two proteins responsible for firm, smooth, resilient skin.

The result is renewal driven by your own biology — not by burning or ablating tissue with a beam of light.

Why Non-Laser Matters

Because Tixel uses heat rather than light, melanin in the skin doesn't absorb the energy the way it does with laser or IPL treatments. That makes Tixel appropriate for all skin tones, and it can be performed year-round rather than only in winter months.

  • Contact — The titanium tip makes brief, measured contact with the treatment area.
  • Response — Microscopic channels trigger your body's natural healing cascade.
  • Renewal — Fresh collagen and elastin rebuild firmer, smoother, healthier tissue.

Which Tixel Is Right for You?

Tixel i®

For Dry Eye and Meibomian Gland Dysfunction

Tixel i® is FDA-cleared for the application of localized heat and pressure in patients with evaporative dry eye caused by Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD).

Your meibomian glands line your eyelids and produce the oil layer that keeps tears from evaporating too quickly. When those glands become blocked or dysfunctional, tears evaporate fast — and your eyes feel gritty, burning, watery, and tired no matter how many drops you use.

Tixel i treats the glands in both the upper and lower eyelids directly, helping restore healthy oil flow to the surface of the eye. Both eyes are treated in under two minutes.

In clinical study, patients showed measurable improvement in:

  • Tear break-up time (how long tears stay stable on the eye)
  • Meibomian gland secretion scores
  • Patient-reported dry eye symptom scores

Tixel C®

For Skin Resurfacing and Rejuvenation

Tixel C® is our aesthetic system — the same TMA technology, directed at the appearance and quality of your skin.

By stimulating collagen and elastin production, Tixel C works to soften fine lines and wrinkles, tighten lax skin, even out tone and texture, and improve the appearance of scarring and pigmentation.

Treatments are customized to your goals and typically take 10–30 minutes, depending on the area treated.

Every Tixel C package includes an aftercare goody bag to take home with you.

What To Expect

Your Tixel Appointment, Start to Finish

  • Before — We apply a topical numbing cream to the treatment area so you stay comfortable throughout. We'll go over your goals, your history, and exactly what we're treating.
  • During — The treatment itself takes anywhere from 2 to 30 minutes, depending on which procedure you're having. There are no bright flashes of light, no cooling gel, and no complicated applicators — just brief, controlled contact from the treatment tip.
  • Immediately After — Expect some redness, and possibly mild swelling. This is normal, expected, and a sign the treatment is doing its job. Most patients describe the feeling as similar to a mild sunburn.
  • The Next Few Days — Redness and swelling typically resolve within 3 to 7 days. You'll go home with written aftercare instructions, and Tixel C patients receive an aftercare goody bag with everything needed for a comfortable recovery.
  • Results — Because Tixel works by stimulating your own collagen and elastin, results build gradually over the weeks following treatment.
